The drugs
are said to have arrived in the country aboard an Amerijet flight from Miami on
February 5 and 25, respectively. The officers subsequently transported the
items to the police station, where further investigations are continuing.

So far
this year, an estimated $1,740,000 worth of illegal drugs, consisting of
approximately 175 pounds of cannabis and 19 grams of cocaine, have been seized
by police and customs officers. About 160 pounds of the contraband arrived in
the country via the airport.

To date, 19 people have
been arrested for drug-related offences in 2020 and 12 of them have been
convicted.
